New China
About This Spot
New China feels like one of those neighborhood treasures that you stumble upon when you’re craving a genuine, no-frills meal that hits just the right notes. Nestled on Broadway in Amityville, this spot carries the quiet confidence of a place where people come hungry and leave satisfied, often with a little extra to share. It’s not about flash or fancy décor—it’s about comfort, familiarity, and food served with a sincere, steady rhythm.
Walking in, you’re met with an atmosphere that moves at a comfortable pace, welcoming a steady flow of locals who appreciate both the consistency and care that goes into each order. The chatter feels easygoing, layered with the faint sizzle from the kitchen, where meals are thoughtfully prepared and promptly delivered to tables or packed for delivery. This rhythm creates a warm sense of being part of a community meal, whether you’re dining in or grabbing food to enjoy at home.
The menu acts almost like a scrapbook of comforting classics, where familiar flavors mingle with subtle surprises. You’ll find dishes that balance crispy and tender textures, generous servings, and a touch of spiciness when you ask for it. Some come for the crispy, well-seasoned chicken, while others linger over noodle dishes where noodles and meat are perfectly paired to satisfy hunger and craving alike. The experience here is not just about nourishment—it’s a shared moment, whether you’re with family or ordering in after a long day.
Part of New China’s appeal is its straightforward, honest experience: a clean, welcoming environment where the staff treat you with kindness and efficiency. It’s the kind of place that doesn’t rush you but keeps everything moving smoothly, ensuring that your order arrives hot and fresh. There’s something quietly reassuring about a spot that knows its strengths and embraces them fully, keeping the focus on food and friendly service.
If you’re looking for a meal that feels like a comforting, familiar touchpoint—whether from the first crispy bite of an egg roll or the satisfying balance of a hearty bowl of noodles—New China quietly makes a case for itself as a go-to in the neighborhood.

On January 1, I went in searching for the best general child chicken I could find on Long Island. And I finally found it after years of searching. Every time the place was clean, the staff was incredibly courteous. The food came out fast and extra crispy and extra spicy like I asked for.

ABSOLUTELY FIRE, “straight bussin” - my father. I got some chicken nuggets and my dad got sum chicken with black bean sauce and my boy Mike got sum sesame chicken and holy smokes we were all satisfied. Thanks to my boy Gabriel for telling us bout this John. 10/10 would recommend. Good pricing too

The House Special Lo Mein is very delicious! I had the large portion ($11) and it was enough food for two people I would say. Great meat to noodle ratio as well. Sad that there’s no restroom available for customers.
